Time to Move

Time to Move

As the leaves turn, we are preparing to move the shop. Our last day of business at the Georgetown location is November 20, 2026.

The new address is 2495 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602. Look for us across from the Rockville outlets and behind the Waffle House.

The Move

It does not seem possible that we have only been in the Georgetown location for 17 months. We met so many wonderful quilters, and our lives have been blessed by so many positive experiences.

Why move? Simply put. We have just outgrown our space. We have so much we want to do and so little space. It is time to move.

You will know our shop by the new signage. We expect to start construction next week, and the new signs will be up by mid-November.

We love the barn sign in the center of the strip mall. We hope you do, too.

In the meantime, if you want to come and peek in the window during construction, we will post coming soon signs on the doors this weekend.

Open House Logistics

The open house is on January 9th starting at 10:00 AM and ends at 5:30 PM. We pray for good weather.

We will open our new location at  Lincoln Square on January 9th with a lot of fanfare. Mark your calendars. During this open house, we will have a food truck in a heated tent, live music, three trunk shows, giveaways, and a wall displaying our new classes. Plus lots of new and exciting fabric and notions. Who can say no to free food, beautiful fabric, and giveaways?

Weather permitting, load up your car with your besties and plan to stay all day. Check out our class wall, enjoy the trunk shows, and check out our new space. Wander out back, enjoy our BBQ truck, and join our contests and raffles. (You know that we have the best raffle baskets in the business.)

If we have to reschedule due to weather, we will give you ample notice. Safety is our top priority.

What To Expect During the Move

We value our customer relationships and want to avoid surprises.

During the move, our phone number will stay the same. However, during this time, we will not be able to process e-commerce orders. We can sell gift certificates.

We’d appreciate anything you can do to support us during the move — sign up for classes, pre-buy for your projects, and buy gift certificates.

A Place for Modern Quilters to Meet and Create in Southern Lancaster County

The new shop is larger and will include a 3,300-square-foot learning center and a retail space 30% larger than our current shop. The classroom can accommodate 30, but most of our classes have fewer than 20 students to ensure every student gets the attention they need.

We are excited to offer classes 4-5 days a week, slow-sew on Wednesday nights, and sit-n-sew on Thursdays. We have exciting projects for all skill levels, and our learning center is ideal for working on large quilts. Check out our new class schedule here: https://online.flippingbook.com/view/469151056/

In the learning center, we will also rent our Bernina Q24 QMATICs and our Q20. Over time, we will also allow groups to rent the learning center for day retreats, but more on that later.

We will also be open on two Sundays a month, and late hours on Wednesday until 7:30 PM for the slow sew and folks who cannot get to the shop during work hours. We will also be open on Mondays, which we were closed on at our prior location.

We will keep you posted as things progress.

All the best in your sewing!

Alice, Charlene, Darlene, Karen, Kathy, Kelly, Lora, Megan, and Shauna
