Teresa Coates is a nationally known sewing educator, accomplished quilt maker, travel writer, pattern designer, and relentless adventurer. Her goal is to make you fall in love with sewing. Serving as the national educator for Shannon Fabrics, Teresa initiated “Sew Together Tuesday” in 2020. She meticulously plans, produces, and hosts each episode, inviting the audience to engage in a fun, encouraging, and interactive experience. “Sew Together Tuesday” stands as a live, instructional show mirroring an in-person workshop. The virtual class has introduced numerous sewists to Teresa and the delight of sewing with plush fabrics in a manner that her previous travel schedule had limited. In 2021, “Sew Together Tuesday: On the Road” was conceptualized to bring the thrill of a live show to independently owned quilt and fabric shops across America. Teresa’s quilts have graced the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show in Sisters, Oregon, and the Brewery Art Walk in Los Angeles, California. Since 2010, Teresa has been educating and fostering an accessible sewing movement. She has encouraged her audience to develop a passion for sewing at nearly 100 local quilt shops in 42 states from 2016 to the present.
