Jelly Roll Rug Class

Jump on the bandwagon and learn how to make a Jelly-Roll Rug! Using only one Jelly Roll (40 pre-cut 2-1/2″ strips) and strips of cotton batting, you can make a rug measuring 30″ x 44″. We have three beautiful jelly rolls in the shop from Jen Kingwell, a designer at Moda, in stock. 

The registration fee does not include the supplies for the class. The required supply list (pattern, fabric, notions) will be sent with your registration confirmation. You can also find them here under the supply list requirements.

You can purchase the jelly roll and recycled batting (50 yards of 2.5 inch wide batting seamed and rolled) from us (the kit). You can also buy new batting and the clover needlecraft tube maker from us in the shop.

Materials Included:A Jelly Roll, a package of recycled batting, and a jelly roll sasher by Clover.
Requirements:Each student needs a machine with an open throat and a zig-zag stitch. If the student does not buy a jelly roll from us, please bring 42 different strips of 2.5-inch fabric cut width with the selvages removed. Bring thread, pins, and scissors.

Instructor Bio:Lora inherited her love of quilting from her mom. For multiple generations, her family was active in quilting in West Virginia’s Mountains. She would hurry home to work on quilt tops when she traveled over the last decade. Lora has quilted for over 15 years and takes classes yearly on longarming to stay fresh. She is a modern quilter and loves to teach. This shop in Hanover is Lora’s retirement business. Lora hopes that Primrose Quilts becomes the premier destination site for quilters seeking a peaceful retreat, the completion of beautiful quilts, or classroom inspiration.
