As the leaves fall and we stack pumpkins outside the shop for decoration, we sigh a deep breath of thanks. Thanks for great customers that have joined us on our journey. Opening the shop in March and navigating the Mid-Atlantic shop hop were no small feats.
During the shop-hop, we welcomed over 950 new shoppers through our doors during the shop hop. For those who ventured through the cornfields of southern Lancaster County and navigated the stream of Amish buggies during the hot months of July and August, we give thanks and hope to see all of you soon.
A special shout-out and congratulations to Helen Wagner and Jean Klunk for winning our $50.00 Gift Certificates.
Our goal is to be the place where Modern Quilters meet and create in Southern Lancaster County. T
Learn to Quilt

Our class schedule is now available online, and we have started our fall teaching schedule. You can pick up a printed copy of the class schedule in the shop or register online. Our classes are small, allowing for hands-on instruction. You can rent one of our machines or bring your own.
In the enclosed picture, Kelly Davis of Hoppin Bobbin of Quarryville, PA, is instructing the Beginning Quilting Class.
You can also rent the sewing space to sew with Besties on a Saturday by signing up for a sit-n-sew time. We also have two Accuquilt machines for rental by the hour. (Call the shop in the advance to be sure that we have the dies that you need.)
Kits
As you plan for holiday giving, consider our quilt kits and gift certificates. We now have 50 kits online. These can be ordered through our online store.
Brice is very excited about the In the Beginning fabrics shown here. Check out the Emerald Reign and Dragon Friends quilts.
Lora prefers the new line of Tilda Christmas fabrics shown above. The new Tilda kits were just added to our inventory. We have nine in each colorway.

No matter your preference, with 50 kits assembled and ready to go, we think that you can find something for everyone!
Come and check out the quilt samples in the store and decide on what is right for your special gift.
Guilds, Retreats, and Trunk Shows
We were excited to host the Lancaster Quilt Guild on Thursday. An informal sharing for two hours was sew much fun!
If you would like to do something similar with your guild, please let us know. We can talk about needle/threads (we are proud of our thread collection), new fabric lines coming into the shop, or share our favorite notions.

And, don’t forget to sign up for the Rachel Rossi trunk show on November 6th. Rachel is a local Lancaster artist, and we are very committed to supporting local artists and have used some of Rachel’s fantastic fabric in several of our best-selling kits.
Last, but not least, we still have six slots available for the Jacqueline de Jonge four-day master paper piecing class starting on June 28th, 2026, with an evening reception. The class will take place on June 29th and 30th/July 1st and 2nd at the Eden Suites hotel on Oregon Pike. To register, just call the shop and place a deposit to hold your spot. You can pick from five kits depending on your skill level. These will be available in January.
All the best in your sewing!
